In the spirit of Film Making the Teacher's Quorum decided to go to BYU Broadcasting and take a tour of the facilities. What a great studio!

Entrada: What A Trip!

The Sunset 2nd Ward Varsity Team High Adventure was held in Moab, Utah.  It was a GREAT trip!

The Teacher's Quorum met at Brother Smith's house on Monday morning at 6:30 am. We loaded in to the Suburban and headed south. The trip was largely uneventful.   A few small detours in Springville and we were off to the races.

We made it to Entrada High Adventure Base before noon.  We checked in, set up our camp, and ate lunch before heading out to adventure in Arches National Park.
Our campsite, named La Sal, in Entrada High Adventure Base.
After lunch we decided to go to Arches and hike.  Monday was the coolest day weather-wise, so this turned out to be the best day for a trip to the park.

After deliberating for a few minutes we opted to hike to Delicate Arch, the most popular arch in the state.

Our hiking team on the sandstone trail to the arch.
Upon arrival at Delicate Arch there was a tour bus full of Japanese tourists waiting to get their pictures taken.  We found something to entertain ourselves while the crowds dissipated.

We opted to do some climbing on the buttes around the famous arch.

More free climbing.  The sandstone is wonderful for climbing!

The gang's all here!
On Tuesday we got up at the break of dawn and went mountain biking.
Ready to ride!

Our destination was Gemini Bridges.  We got to walk out on the bridge and look around.

Quite the drop.  Don't look down!

In order to look over the edge we were required to lay on our stomachs and crawl over.

Taking a breather after our bike ride.
After lunch on Tuesday we decided to explore the valley around Entrada.
Hiding in a shady spot to get a break from the 100 degree heat.

Lloyd braved the heights to join us at the top.

Hanging out in a nook in the rocks.

Yet another break in the hiking.

One of our panoramic points. Quite the view, eh?

Tuesday evening we took advantage of the open range time.

Our sunset view.

Another beautiful sunset.

Ethan was a beacon in the dark...

On Wednesday we took a trip down the Colorado River. Here we are anxious to get started.

After our trip was over we crossed the foot bridge over the Colorado to bid a fond farewell.

Tyson found the fast way up the path. Straight up...

Thursday dawned bright and early.  Alas, it was time to return home.

No one wanted to get up on Thursday.

Layton eager to clean up camp.

Josh enjoying his breakfast. We found something he liked!

Breaking down the tent with Talmage inside. There's more than one way to get them moving...

Our High Adventure was a good trip.  A few sunburns, sore feet, tired campers, and a good experience. I can't wait to see what we plan next!
