Payson Lake Campout

On October 19-20 we had another Varsity camp. We went up the Nebo Scenic Byway to camp and fish at Payson Lakes.

Getting the poles ready to set up their tent. I don't think these boys knew what to do with a tent that wasn't broken.

Almost there... If only they had staked it in first. :)

Getting closer.

Almost up.

The last rays of the sun setting on the lake.
They call him the Fish Whisperer.

Affixing the hook.

And out to conquer the fish. Do you see them all jumping in the lake!

Trying another angle.

A nice cool morning.

Slogging through the mud.

A wonderful morning for fishing.

It was fun to have the Morris' stop by in the morning.

Learning to fly (fly fish that is).

Look out fish. Notice the USS Morris in the background. The boys loved the boat ride.
This camp was a great time. We caught more than 12 fish, lost and found a wedding ring, and spent time as a quorum.

Our Rescheduled, Rescheduled, Rescheduled Campout

Ok, sorry to everyone about the scheduling issues on our camping trip. I forgot about the stake meetings for ward and stake leadership in conjunction with Stake Conference.

We are still going camping; it will be on October 19-20.  We will be camping at Payson Lakes to do a little fishing.  The boys have requested fishing again, so we are at it one more time with feeling.  For information on the Fishing Merit Badges and State Regulations see our August Post.

Cooking at the Todds

One item that we decided to work on with the Young Men was a Personal Development item; cooking.
Sister Todd teaching the boys how to make French Bread Pizza.

A captive audience.

On with the toppings.
Everyone helped with this project.

Our supervisors...

Trying the smoothie with spinach.

Commenting on our trek photo.

Thank you SO much to Sister Todd! We really appreciate all your preparations and patience!
